LookGig Cancellation Policy V1.0
1. Core V1 rule
A customer may cancel before Start PIN/work commencement without a LookGig cancellation penalty.
Any unearned payment authorization is released subject to payment-provider processing time.
2. Statutory withdrawal
This policy does not remove mandatory consumer withdrawal rights.
A consumer entering a distance service contract may have 14 days to withdraw under Estonian/EU law.
If the consumer expressly asks for service to start during the withdrawal period, statutory proportionate-payment rules may apply to work already supplied.
Contractual cancellation terms never override mandatory withdrawal rights.
3. Customer cancellation before work starts
- no LookGig cancellation fee;
- no charge for unperformed work;
- authorization is released where applicable;
- repeated abusive/no-show behaviour may be reviewed separately under account policy.
4. Customer cancellation after work starts
Once Start PIN/work commencement is recorded, completed work time remains payable.
The final amount is based on verified actual system time up to lawful completion/cancellation.
A cancellation after commencement does not create a minimum-hour charge.
5. Worker cancellation
Workers are not charged a monetary cancellation fine in V1.
A cancellation is "late" if it is made less than 4 hours before the confirmed booking start time, unless caused by a genuine verifiable emergency.
Reliability consequences:
- first late cancellation: warning;
- 3 late cancellations within 30 days: 7-day temporary suspension pending review;
- credible emergency circumstances may be excused.
6. Worker cancellation effect on customer
For unperformed work:
- customer is not charged;
- authorization is released;
- LookGig may repost the job or seek a replacement.
V1 does not promise automatic cash compensation or credit for worker cancellation.
7. Emergencies
Safety, medical or exceptional circumstances are escalated for human review when policy application is unclear.
MOTHER may collect the facts but may not waive policy or promise discretionary compensation.
8. Evidence
Cancellation time, booking status, payment status and Start PIN/work-start state in LookGig records govern operational handling, subject to correction where evidence shows an error.
