LookGig Terms of Service V1.0

Operator: Abiline OÜ, Tallinn, Estonia
Contact: support@lookgig.com
Effective date: 8 October 2026

1. What LookGig is

LookGig is a Tallinn local-services marketplace that helps customers find and book independent service providers ("workers").

LookGig provides marketplace, booking, payment, identity-verification and support infrastructure. Unless expressly stated otherwise, LookGig is not itself the worker performing the booked service.

2. Eligibility

Customers must have legal capacity to enter the booking.

Workers must be at least 18, provide truthful account information, complete required identity verification before the first paid booking and hold any legally required licence/qualification for regulated work.

3. Worker status

Workers provide services independently unless a separate written arrangement states otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to misclassify a relationship that mandatory law treats differently.

4. Booking contract

A booking becomes binding when the platform records the required acceptance/confirmation.

The booking description, agreed hourly rate, timing, location/district and applicable policies form part of the booking terms.

Users must keep material booking communications on-platform where LookGig requires them for safety, audit or dispute handling.

5. Price and fee

The V1 minimum hourly rate is EUR 8/hour gross.

The worker-side LookGig platform fee is 15% of the final booking amount; the worker receives 85%.

Customers do not pay a separate LookGig service fee in V1 unless a future version expressly states otherwise before booking.

Consumer-facing prices must show the final amount required by law, including applicable taxes.

6. Payment and fair settlement

LookGig may authorize an estimated amount before work begins.

The Start PIN records work commencement.

The Finish PIN records completion/settlement.

Final billable duration is calculated from system timestamps to the minute. Users do not manually set the final hours or final amount.

LookGig captures the calculated final amount and releases unused authorization.

7. Consumer withdrawal rights

Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory consumer rights.

For distance service contracts, a consumer may have a statutory 14-day withdrawal right.

If a consumer expressly requests service to begin during that period, statutory rules may require proportionate payment for service already supplied.

LookGig will not treat an ordinary cleaning/handyman appointment as automatically exempt merely because it has a scheduled time.

Where mandatory law conflicts with a cancellation term, mandatory law prevails.

8. Cancellation and rescheduling

V1 cancellation before Start PIN/work commencement does not carry a LookGig cancellation penalty.

Rescheduling requires agreement of the other party and is governed by RESCHEDULING_POLICY_V1.

Worker cancellation/no-show may trigger reliability consequences but no automatic monetary fine.

9. Refunds and complaints

Incorrect platform charges and unearned amounts are corrected/refunded as required.

Quality complaints are not automatically refunded; they enter the dispute process.

Operational reporting windows do not restrict mandatory statutory remedies.

Formal consumer complaints receive a written response within 15 days.

10. Safety and prohibited work

Users must not use LookGig for illegal, dangerous, unverified regulated, sexual/adult, weapon/controlled-substance or other prohibited work.

Childcare/nanny work is not launch-enabled in V1.

See SAFETY_PROHIBITED_JOBS_POLICY_V1.

11. Verification

"Identity verified" means the verification actually performed by LookGig.

LookGig does not claim V1 workers have passed a criminal/background check unless LookGig introduces and expressly documents such a lawful process.

12. Damage and disputes

LookGig does not provide a V1 property-damage insurance policy or guarantee fund.

LookGig may collect evidence and facilitate communication.

Mandatory liability, including liability for LookGig's own proven fault where law does not allow exclusion, remains unaffected.

MOTHER cannot decide legal liability or discretionary compensation.

13. Account restrictions

LookGig may restrict accounts for fraud, identity problems, safety risks, repeated no-shows/cancellations, payment abuse, harassment, prohibited jobs or other serious violations.

Except for urgent protective restrictions, material sanctions are subject to human review and the appeal policy.

14. User conduct

Users must provide accurate information, behave lawfully and respectfully, protect PINs/account credentials, cooperate with safety/dispute reviews and not manipulate payment or verification systems.

15. Off-platform circumvention

Users must not deliberately bypass LookGig for follow-on work originating through a LookGig introduction while still relying on LookGig identity, payment or support protections.

Repeated deliberate circumvention may lead to restriction after human review.

16. Availability

LookGig aims to provide reliable service but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, worker availability or successful matching.

17. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by mandatory law, each party remains responsible for its own acts and obligations.

LookGig does not exclude liability where exclusion is prohibited by law.

No clause limits mandatory consumer rights.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Estonian law, subject to mandatory consumer protections.

Consumers may use applicable Estonian consumer-dispute mechanisms, including the Consumer Disputes Committee where eligible, in addition to court rights.

19. Policy versions

Specific policies referenced by these Terms form part of the V1 policy pack.

If policy text conflicts with mandatory law, mandatory law prevails.

If two LookGig policies conflict, the case must be escalated rather than guessed by MOTHER.
