LookGig Customer Responsibilities Policy V1.0
1. Purpose
This policy sets out what LookGig expects of customers who book services through the platform.
2. Accurate job descriptions
Customers must describe the job accurately when posting or booking a service.
Customers must not misrepresent the scope, location, timing, access conditions or nature of the work.
A worker who arrives to find the job materially different from the description may decline to start.
Customers bear responsibility for the additional cost of incomplete or rescheduled work resulting from an inaccurate job description.
3. Access and readiness
Customers must:
- be present or ensure access is available at the agreed start time;
- provide the worker with reasonable access to the work area;
- ensure the work area is safe and free from known hazards before the worker arrives;
- disclose any relevant hazards or access restrictions in advance.
A customer who is absent or fails to provide access is subject to the No-Show and Late Arrival Policy.
4. Safe environment
Customers must not expose workers to unsafe conditions, hazardous materials, health risks, violence, harassment or threatening behaviour.
If a worker reasonably stops work because of an unsafe condition, the customer is responsible for the circumstances; the worker is entitled to payment for time already worked under system timestamps.
5. Start PIN and Finish PIN
Customers are responsible for providing the Start PIN to the worker when work begins and confirming the Finish PIN when work ends.
Customers must not provide a Start or Finish PIN for work that has not actually started or finished.
Providing a Start or Finish PIN falsely, or refusing to provide one without legitimate cause, is a breach of these responsibilities and may affect dispute outcomes.
6. Bookings for lawful purposes
Customers must only request services that are lawful under Estonian and applicable law.
Customers must not use the platform to request work in the prohibited-job categories set out in the Safety and Prohibited Jobs Policy.
LookGig reserves the right to cancel a booking, restrict the customer's account and, where required, notify relevant authorities if an unlawful or prohibited booking is identified.
7. Conduct toward workers
Customers must treat workers with respect.
Harassment, threats, physical contact, sexual misconduct or abusive conduct toward a worker is a serious breach.
LookGig will restrict or terminate the account of a customer engaged in such conduct and may refer the matter to relevant authorities.
8. Payment obligations
Customers must maintain a valid payment method on their account.
The final amount is determined by system-recorded timestamps; customers agree that this is the binding final calculation in the absence of a successful dispute.
Customers who dispute an amount must do so within 7 calendar days of booking completion.
9. Off-platform payments
Customers must not offer or make direct cash payments or other off-platform transfers to workers for work arranged through LookGig, except as expressly permitted by LookGig.
Deliberately circumventing LookGig's payment and platform for follow-on work introduced through LookGig may result in account restriction.
10. Account security
Customers are responsible for keeping their account credentials secure and for all activity on their account.
11. Consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits any statutory rights customers hold under Estonian or EU consumer-protection law.
