LookGig Worker FAQ V1.0
Getting started
How do I join LookGig as a worker?
Register through the LookGig app or platform. Before you can accept paid bookings, you must complete identity verification: submit a valid government-issued photo ID and a selfie or matching photograph. LookGig reviews your documents before you can take your first booking.
What age do I need to be?
You must be at least 18 years old.
Do I need the legal right to work in Estonia?
Yes. You must have the legal right to work in Estonia and in any other jurisdiction where you perform services.
What if I offer a service that requires a licence?
For categories where Estonian law requires a specific licence or qualification (for example, regulated electrical or gas work), you must upload evidence of your qualification. LookGig will review it before you can offer services in that category. Do not offer services you are not legally permitted to provide.

How earnings work
How much do I earn per booking?
You keep 85% of the final booking amount. LookGig deducts a 15% platform fee at settlement.
How is the final amount calculated?
LookGig uses the Start PIN and Finish PIN system. When you start work, the customer provides a Start PIN. When work is complete, the customer confirms a Finish PIN. LookGig calculates the exact minutes between those events and multiplies by your agreed hourly rate. No one manually enters hours or amounts.
What is the minimum hourly rate I can offer?
The minimum is EUR 8 per hour (gross). You may set a higher rate.
When do I get paid?
Eligible completed, captured and undisputed earnings are paid by weekly bank transfer to your verified IBAN. The target batch day is Monday for bookings completed in the prior week.
What payment methods are used?
V1 supports bank transfer to a verified IBAN only. There is no platform wallet or instant payout in V1.
What if a booking is disputed?
Only the amount relating to the disputed booking may be held during the dispute. LookGig targets an initial response within 2 business days and a written resolution within 15 days where feasible.
Am I responsible for my own taxes?
Yes. As a worker on LookGig you are responsible for your own income tax, social contributions, business-registration and VAT obligations under Estonian and applicable law. LookGig does not determine your tax status and does not provide tax advice. Please seek your own advice if you are uncertain.

Bookings and cancellations
How do I accept a booking?
Review booking requests in the app and accept the ones you can fulfil. Only accept bookings you are confident you can attend and complete.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel through the platform as early as possible. Cancellation consequences:
- first late cancellation: written warning;
- 3 late cancellations in 30 days: 7-day temporary suspension pending review.
Genuine emergencies may be considered if documented. See the Cancellation Policy.
What if I cannot arrive on time?
Notify the customer through the platform as early as possible. Repeated late arrivals are monitored.
Can I reschedule a booking?
Yes — propose a reschedule through the platform. The customer must accept. A maximum of 2 reschedules per booking are allowed; further changes require cancellation and rebooking. See the Rescheduling Policy.

On the job
What do I do when I arrive?
Ask the customer to provide the Start PIN before you begin. Do not start work before the Start PIN is confirmed.
What if the customer is not present?
If the customer is absent and you cannot gain access, do not start work. Document the situation (photograph the address if appropriate), contact LookGig support at support@lookgig.com, and wait a reasonable time. Do not force entry. This is recorded as a customer no-show. See the No-Show and Late Arrival Policy.
What if I think the job is unsafe?
Raise your concern with the customer before starting. If the risk cannot be resolved, you may decline to start. Contact support@lookgig.com and explain the situation. Your safety takes priority. Never start work you cannot safely perform.
What services am I not allowed to offer?
Prohibited categories include illegal work, unlicensed regulated trade work, weapons/hazardous-materials handling, regulated professional advisory services, adult services, tasks involving unlawful data access, childcare/nanny services (not available in V1), and tasks creating unverified safeguarding risks. See the Safety and Prohibited Jobs Policy.

Account and conduct
What can result in my account being suspended?
Temporary suspension triggers include: 3 late cancellations in 30 days, a verified no-show, a pending safety complaint review, and fraud or identity flags. Permanent restriction can follow: confirmed fraud, theft, violence, sexual misconduct, illegal activity or repeated severe safety violations. See the Account Suspension and Appeals Policy.
What if I think a suspension was wrong?
You can appeal within 14 days by emailing support@lookgig.com with "Appeal" in the subject line. LookGig will respond in writing within 15 days. See the Account Suspension and Appeals Policy.
What if a customer is abusive or harassing?
End the situation professionally and safely — do not engage further. Report the incident to support@lookgig.com with "URGENT" in the subject line if it is a safety matter. In an emergency, call 112 first.
How is my personal data handled?
LookGig processes your data as described in the Privacy Policy and the Data Retention and Rights Policy. You have rights under GDPR including access, correction and deletion. Contact support@lookgig.com to exercise your rights.

Other questions
What if a customer asks me to do something that is not in the original job description?
You are not obliged to do work beyond the originally agreed scope. If the scope has genuinely changed, discuss with the customer and, if both agree, this should be handled as a new or extended booking through the platform. Work introduced through LookGig should be completed through the platform. Do not arrange off-platform payment for a booking that originated through LookGig. See the Terms of Service for full details.
Am I an employee of LookGig?
LookGig does not determine your employment or self-employment status for legal or tax purposes; this depends on your individual circumstances and applicable law. Seek independent advice if you are uncertain about your status.
Where can I get more help?
Contact support@lookgig.com for any question not answered here or by MOTHER. MOTHER can direct you to the relevant policy but will escalate matters that require human decision.
