LookGig Worker Verification Policy V1.0

Operator: Abiline OÜ, Tallinn, Estonia
Service: LookGig / lookgig.com
Contact: support@lookgig.com
Effective date: 8 October 2026

1. Purpose

LookGig verifies worker identity before a worker may take a paid booking.

Verification protects customers, workers and the integrity of the platform.

2. Identity verification requirement

Before accepting a first paid booking, every worker must complete identity verification:

LookGig reviews submitted documents to confirm they appear genuine and that the photograph matches the identity document.

Workers who do not complete verification cannot take paid bookings.

3. What LookGig does not claim

LookGig does not conduct criminal background checks, DBS checks, police-record searches or equivalent checks as part of V1 worker verification.

LookGig does not describe or market workers as "background checked" or "criminal-record verified" in V1.

Customers who require such checks for their own purposes must arrange them independently.

4. Licensed and regulated trades

For job categories where Estonian or EU law requires the worker to hold a licence, certificate or other regulatory qualification (for example, certain electrical, gas, construction or other regulated work), LookGig requires the worker to upload evidence of the relevant qualification.

LookGig reviews that evidence before permitting the worker to offer services in that category.

Workers must not offer services in a licensed category unless their current valid qualification has been accepted by LookGig.

5. Other skills and self-declared experience

For job categories that do not require a legally mandated licence, workers may self-declare their skills and experience.

LookGig does not independently verify self-declared skills.

Customers should assess a worker's suitability from their profile information and, where relevant, by asking questions through the platform before booking.

6. Worker responsibility for accuracy

Workers must submit accurate, current and genuine documentation.

Submitting false, altered or expired documents, or misrepresenting qualifications, is a serious breach and may result in immediate account termination.

7. Data handling

Identity and verification documents are processed under the LookGig Privacy Policy.

LookGig processes these documents only for the purpose of verification and platform safety, stores only what is necessary, and applies retention limits in accordance with the Data Retention and Rights Policy.

8. Re-verification

LookGig may require a worker to re-verify if documents expire, if verification records are incomplete, or if there is a credible concern about identity or eligibility.

9. Disputes about verification decisions

Workers may dispute a verification refusal by contacting support@lookgig.com.

MOTHER cannot override a verification decision; verification disputes require human review.
